Who says gadgets would just make you a fat, lazy a**, bum? There are a lot of applications today that would help you in your journey to lose weight. First of all, there are a lot of applications for PDAs that would help you watch what you eat. These are called calorie counters. Basically, it’s a software that has a database of food and their calorie count. You just input what you eat throughout the day and watch that you don’t go over the maximum daily allowed calories.

These software have also made their way through mobile phones. In fact, I think it’s calorie-king.com that has an application which you can download that will let you access their database of food. Also mobile phones with built-in accelerometer are gaining popularity. You can take these mobile phones with you while you’re jogging and you can keep track of the calories you’ll burn.

So see? Not all gadgets are bad for your health.
