We all want to be protected from online threats such as malware, spyware and viruses but not all antivirus software are created equal and there are some antivirus software that are more compatible with your PC compared with others. K7 Antivirus
So far, this is the only antivirus software that I’ve seen which still supports Windows 98 and Windows ME. Their system requirements to run their antivirus software are pretty light so you can probably use it on your netbook or your aging desktop PC. They offer the fastest antivirus scanner in the market.
Trend Micro Internet Security
Trend Micro’s Internet Security Suite is a bit updated and I don’t think you can run the latest version on your Windows 98 PC. However, they have some download links for their older versions or if you do find an older version of the PC-Cillin Internet Security in other websites, you still can update it manually through Trend Micro’s website. Their Internet Security Suite is very light on your system resources.
McAfee AntiVirus
McAfee offers an antivirus software too or an Internet Security Software. Although not as light as the other two, their antivirus software has a fast scanner. However, this software is more expensive compared with the first two software.
